At a special m.i.p.a. Awards Ceremony held during the Musikmesse / ProLight & Sound show in Frankfurt, Germany, with more than 300 international representatives in attendance, Regal Tip's new "X-Series" drumstick line was awarded the "Best Product of 2003/2003" award in the drumstick category. The m.i.p.a. winners are selected by 55 magazines from all over the world. The award was accepted by Regal Tip's International Sales Manager, Paul Pinchuk who said, "The X-series line is a result of input from drummers and dealers".
The new X-Series sticks were introduced in 2002 and have rapidly become some of Regal Tip's most in-demand models. The sticks were designed for drummers looking for increased strength, length, durability and reach in a stick that still maintains excellent balance. Available in four models, 5AX, 5BX, Rock are 16 1/4" long and Joey Waronker are 16 1/2" in length. All four models are tapered for fast reponse, but have necks substantial enough to offer durability plus rebound. The 5AX and 5BX models were designed with acorn shaped tips for increased projection from cymbals, while keeping the sound crystal clear. The 5AX and 5BX are also available in a nylon tip version.
