Tangerine Sparkle, Broken Glass and Chrome have been added to the wide selection of Drum Workshop’s FinishPly drum finish options. According to John Good, DW vice-president and drum designer, the Tangerine Sparkle and Chrome finishes signal the return of two classic drum coverings while the introduction of Broken Glass represents the beginning of a new trend.
"When we began to discuss new finish options, we talked about many different colors and styles," comments Good. "We ultimately decided to replicate the Tangerine Sparkle color that was so popular on drums in the1950’s as well as the Chrome finish that was established in the 70’s, but we also wanted to create a new finish that could become a new standard. Broken Glass was developed to fill that need. It offers a deep, diamond-like metalflake finish that looks incredible under stage lighting."
Attractive and durable, Tangerine Sparkle, Broken Glass and Chrome FinishPly finishes are now available on any DW Collector’s Series Maple or Birch snare drums, tom-toms and bass drums.
