Following successful efforts over the past two years to promote the specialized goods and services of its affiliated yet independent member stores, the Five-Star network of professional drum shops has announced the expansion of participating stores and manufacturers for 2002. This addition of new dealers and brands to the Five-Star mix is aimed at further combining the advantages of local pro shops with those of the national chains and, according to a spokesman for the group, will allow even more student, part-time and professional drummers to benefit from Five-Star’s exclusive selection of products, sales specials and educational events. Previous Five-Star promotions have featured leading drum and percussion companies such as Drum Workshop, Evans, Zildjian, Vic Firth, Pacific, Pro-Mark and Kaces. Upcoming specials will feature these companies as well as Remo, LP, Tama, Attack and Treeworks.
