J. D'Addario (Evans Drumheads): News From The FrontNews about our products, Artists and people 01/01 New Performing Artist Signings: Guitarist Dino Cazares and bassist Christian OldeWollebers of the band Fear Factory have recently joined the D'Addario family. The band is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their soon-to-be-released Roadrunner Records album Digimortal. Beginning in mid-January, Fear Factory will headline the Snowcore tour featuring fellow D'Addario artists Kittie & Slaves On Dope. Dino uses D'Addario XL110s. Christian uses Planet Waves 74T000 bass straps and custom XL bass string gauges. D'Addario is proud to welcome NY-based singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur to our Performing Artist Roster. Joseph's latest Virgin Records release, Come To Where I'm From, an experimental folk-rock masterpiece, was recently dubbed the #1 Album of the Year by Entertainment Weekly magazine, and Number 8 Album of the Year by the New York Times. Lending A Helping Hand Evans recently outfitted all the drum kits at the Drummer's Institute of Georgia. The Institute is one of the few schools solely dedicated to drum/percussion instruction in the country. For more info, visit the school's website (digdrums.com). D'Addario endorsee Carlos D'L Puerto recently paid a visit to several schools in his homeland of Cuba. The schools, Amadeo Rodán, the National School of Music, and the National Institute of Art, were in dire need of strings for their classroom instruments so Carlos called upon D'Addario for support. Helicore strings were proudly donated to this great cause. Carlos will be hosting a clinic at the Bass Collective in NYC on January 29th. Check out the D'Addario website for more info (http://www.daddario.com) Awards & Accolades: Nominations for the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards were recently announced.
