Jerry is a percussionist with experience in both live and studio situations. He has played or recorded with jazz giants such as Louie Bellson, Buddy Rich, Mel Lewis, Conte Condoli and Joe Pass, to name just a few. In addition, he is a well known teacher in Southern California, with 16 years experience at California State University at Northridge. He also teaches at the Hamilton High School Academy of the Arts in Los Angeles and California University of the Arts. His teaching video, "Essence of Playing Conga" is distributed world wide. Through the years, he has been a consultant for numerous percussion manufacturers, including Toca, Remo and Calato, in product development and design.
